I started smoking foods in 2020, just before I married my wife. We were trying to save money, and we both had a love for various types of barbecue. We used to seek out different barbecue restaurants, and when we had to crack down on our finances, we didn’t want to give up our favorite foods. Because of this, I went to Walmart, bought the cheapest charcoal grill that they had($20 at the time), and got to work. I started out grilling. I grilled, literally everything, until one day my wife and I decided that there was still an element missing from our favorite dishes… the low-and-slow smoke. We could not afford to buy a smoker at the time, so I set out on a mission to find a way to smoke low-and-slow on a 16″x16″ charcoal grill.

There is, definitely, more to this story, but I will be sharing it along the way of this blog. If it interests you, be sure to follow along and sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop and to see our most recent content.
